Community Activities
St Mark’s is a modern facility that is purpose built as a community centre.  We are here to enhance the community we are part of.  There is a variety of spaces for hire, including a Sports Hall, Church Auditorium, and meeting rooms of various sizes.  See Room Hire  for more details or contact Myra in the church office ph 358 5443 or email myra@stmarks.net.nz.

Indoor Bowls  
You can join good bowlers, or just be a beginner and you will be welcome. We meet in St Mark's Hall at the rear of the church building, and have a friendly time playing bowls.

Pepsa Exercise  
The PEPSA programme is an easy to follow yet challenging exercise class which will help you achieve an active lifestyle or supplement your existing activity.  This class, held in St Mark's Hall, is  a very effective workout to improve mobility, strength and coordination.

Tai Chi (for falls prevention)
Research has shown that learning basic Tai Chi can be most beneficial for older people who want to stay on their feet.  Falls are a leading cause of hospital admissions for older people, but you don't need to join those statistics. Participants are aged 60-90 years old, and numbers have grown considerably meaning we now run two classes.

Create energy, strength, flexibility and general body tone.  Improve and understand your breathing process.  Gain relief from stress, achieving more calmness and clarity of mind.  Aids immunity to minor illness and disease.  Find more control in your everyday life.  Promotes wholebody wellness.
